Marilyn lived a remarkable life defined by strength, independence, resilience, determination and a spirited personality all her own.

A woman who knew her mind and followed her convictions, Marilyn lived life on her own terms. Her devout Catholic faith remained an important spiritual foundation throughout her life. In her younger years, she often shared stories of the adventures that shaped her.

Marilyn eventually moved to Colorado, drawn to the mountains and the sense of freedom they gave her. A breast cancer survivor, she faced life’s challenges with remarkable resolve.

She was a loyal Broncos fan, loved camping, rollerblading, skiing, dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a lifelong vegetarian. She opened her heart and home to many rescue animals, reflecting her deep compassion for all living things.

Marilyn shared a particularly close bond with her youngest son, Tom, who preceded her in death in 2010.

Her daughter, Leslie, was not only her devoted companion but also her best friend. The love and care Leslie gave her in her final years were a beautiful testament to their bond. Marilyn also treasured her grandchildren Tyler, Andrew, Natalie and their families.

She will be remembered for her strength, adventurous spirit, deep faith, and the memories she created with those she loved.
