Marilyn Kay (Eberhardt) Brenzikofer, 68, of Watkins, CO passed away on May 14 at home, after a short illness. Marilyn was born on December 22, 1945 in Englewood, CO to Harold and Ula Eberhardt. In her teen years she grew up in Aurora, CO where she went to Aurora Central High. Marilyn was 15 when she met the love of her life. Michael L. Brenzikofer from California. They married on November 21, 1964. Moved to San Francisco, CA and started a family while Mike was in the Navy. One son was born during this period. A few years later they returned to Aurora where they added two daughters to the family. While Mike and Marilyn enjoyed the city life they wanted their children to enjoy country life so they moved to Watkins. Here is where they enjoyed many years with family, friends and great neighbors. Together they enjoyed many outdoor activities hunting, fishing and camping in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Marilyn was a homemaker until her children went to school. Then she worked for Aurora National Bank until her youngest graduated from high school.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her father, mother and husband. She is survived by her son Michael S. Brenzikofer of Pineallas Park, Florida, daughter Marie (Marvin) Williams of Watkins, CO, daughter Mary (John)Ball of Watkins, CO, grandchildren Sarah and Jacob Ball. Her brother Harold (Wendy) Eberhardt of Texas. Her sister-in-law Marie (Ed) Porter of California. Many nephews, nieces and cousins.
No doubt Marilyn touched many lives and helped everyone she could. She will be missed.
