Marilyn Mae Hendrickx

September 27, 1929 — August 23, 2013

Marilyn Mae Hendrickx, 83, of Denver, CO, passed away August 23, 2013. Marliyn grew up in Brookyn, NY. She met her future husband, Ed, when she was 16 and he 17. They were married on December 27, 1950.

Ed was in the Army and for the next 23 years she was by his side as an "Army Wife". They traveled throughout the U.S. and the world together. Following Ed's retirement in November 1973 as a U.S. Army Lt. Col., she served the next 18 years as a publicist for National Voluntary Health Agencies of Colorado. She was also a Docent for The Denver Zoo and served as their publicist for these same 18 years.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Edward J. Hendrickx, daughter, Karin Van Gorden, son, Edward "Ted" J. Hendrickx, Jr. and three grandchildren: Michelle Shannon, Courtney Van Gorden and Kyle Van Gorden.

Gathering to greet the family from 9:00-10:00 am, before the service, at the funeral home. Memorial service, Thursday, August 29th 10AM-Newcomer-East Chapel. Private Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery-at a later date.
