Marina Cruz, 59, of Centennial, joined God as she continues forward on her journey Friday April 4, 2014.
She was born to the late Antonio Cruz Victoriano and Prisca Cortes Gomez in Suchilapan Veracruz Mexico where she grew up.
Marina came to the United States October 1998 to join her son's Antonio and Ismael in celebration of her first grandchild Rose, followed one year later by Mateo; daughter and son of Antonio. She was a loving grandmother who helped care for and raise her grandchildren. A few years later Emilio was born January 2008; son of Ismael.
Marina enjoyed cooking and was an avid gardener. She filled hearts with joy and was always forgiving leaving a lasting impression of sweetness. She lived a vibrant life full of music. Her faith and strength will live on forever.
In Marina's honor a memorial ceremony will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home 190 Potomac St Aurora CO Thursday April 10, 2014 at 4:00 PM followed by a reception at the Cruz residence 5533 S Malta St Centennial CO 80015.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to St Joseph's Hospital or to the Denver Hospice.
