Marjorie LaVon Michalowski, 89, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.
She was born to the late Samuel and Emma Kees on June 15, 1924 in Fort Wayne, IN. She graduated from Woodburn High School, IN in 1941. She married the late Frank T. Michalowski in 1944. She attended a beauty college in Fort Wayne. When her husband came home from the war, they moved to Kearney, NJ. Later moved back to Fort Wayne where he joined the Army/Air Corps. Marjorie moved to Woodburn, during the Korean War. When her husband came home they moved to Limestone AFB, ME for 1 year. They moved to Langley AFB, in Virginia. After 6 years, they moved to Denver.
Marjorie worked at GE during the war making airplane parts in Fort Wayne. She worked for the US government starting out in medical retirements. Then to FAA, Air Carrier Division. She retired in 1988.
She started snow skiing at 55, Later she learned how to play golf and participated in tournaments around Colorado. She worked on numerous Republican campaigns in Colorado. She was an avid Broncos and Rockies fan. She had two special pets, Corky, a border collie, and a cat, Samantha.
Marjorie is survived by 2 daughters: LaVon Busby of Strasburg, Julia Michalowski of Aurora and 1 son: Thomas of Clifton. She is also survived by five grandchildren,and two great-grand children.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank, parents Samuel and Emma Kees, and her sister, Hillis Carpenter.

Pastor Dick Chambers will officiate the service at 1100 AM September 21 2013 at Windsor Gardens Centerpoint Activity room.
