Marjorie L. Wilson

Marjorie L. Wilson (Hedge), 88, died late Saturday, May 28, 2011 in Thornton, Colorado when her heart suddenly stopped.

Marjorie was born outside Ortonville, MN on January 3, 1923. She lived there her entire childhood surrounded by many aunts, uncles, and numerous first and double cousins. After graduating high school (2nd in her class) she went to Minneapolis where she studied nursing and worked at Swedish Hospital. With her nursing degree she joined the Navy and was stationed at Newport, RI. As an Ensign, working at the US Naval Hospital, she fell in love with a patient named Robert L. Wilson and they were married on May 18, 1946. They had sixty-one wonderful years together before he passed away in 2007.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her three children, Roger Wilson, Westminster, CO; Cindy Leoffler, Midland, TX; Laurie Wilcox and her husband Jack, Frederick, CO; her nine grandchildren: Christopher Wilson and his wife Jessica, of Edmonton, Alberta; Valerie Sanchez and her husband David Sanchez of Weber, TX; Kevin and Craig Leoffler of Midland, TX; Jacqueline Wilcox of Aurora, CO; Jonathan Wilcox of Denver, CO; Garrett, Ashley and Tracy Wilcox of Frederick, CO; and 1 great grandchild on the way.
