Marjorie Marie Smith, 92, of Lakewood, passed away May 13, 2015.
She was born November 19, 1922 in Ewing, Nebraska, the daughter of John and Bertha (Keenan) Archer. She was a graduate of Ewing High School. She graduated from Omaha Business School with an Associate's Degree. On December 4, 1947 she married Charles Smith.
She loved to play cards, especially pinochle, and square dance. Marjorie was a devoted Catholic, being a founding member and Communion Minister at St. Anthony Padua Church. Marjorie loved music, playing the clarinet, loved to travel and was an amazing cook and baker. She was funny, generous and never knew a stranger. Above all, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family. She will be deeply missed.
Marjorie is survived by Son, John T. Smith; Three Daughters, Mary C. (Ernesto) Valdes, Debbie A. (Sam)Shone, Charlene M. (Ron) Salzer; Three Grandchildren, Kevin Shone, Marina C. Valdes, Natalie M. Valdes and Two Great-Grandchildren, Jaxon B. Kenny and Delilah Q. Paulsen, and Nick Paulsen - Delilah's Father.
She is preceded in death by Husband, Charles F. Smith, Father, John Q. Archer, Mother, Bertha V. Archer, Grandchild, Cara Shone and Three Brothers, Maurice Archer, John "Jack" Archer and Edmund Archer.
