Martha Delores "Dee" McFadden, 83, of Golden, Colorado, passed away, June 28, 2014.
She was born in Ottawa, Kansas, on August 29, 1930, and was the daughter of Doris H. (Miller) Farris and Thomas A. Miller, Sr. Dee was married to Clarence D. J. "Mac" McFadden on December 28, 1947. In the 1980s, she received her GED.
Loved by many, Dee was involved in a bowling league and held office at the Ottawa and Golden VFWs for many years, and loved card games her entire life. She enjoyed being involved in her community, and was a bookkeeper for numerous locals. She and her brother, Tom, were raised by their stepfather, Cecil J. Farris.
Dee was survived by her brother, Thomas A. Miller, Jr., daughter, Lynda C. Mills, her son, Bruce W. O. McFadden, and two granddaughters, Kira A. McFadden and Talia L. McFadden. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence "Mac" McFadden, her son-in-law, Byron M. Mills, and four sister-in-laws.
Memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home on July 9, 2014. Family would appreciate any honorary gifts, and donations may be made in Dee's name to the American Diabetes Association.
