Marv Timothy Richardson

It is with love and remembrance that we celebrate the life of Marv Timothy Richardson, who passed away in Denver, Colorado, at the age of 65.

Marv was born on December 21, 1960, in Spencer, Oklahoma, to Ophelia Barkus and Edward Henderson. As the oldest of ten siblings, Marv naturally carried the role of big brother—a role that reflected the strength, independence, and character that would follow him throughout his life.

Marv was the proud father of four children: his daughters, Octavia Franklin, Natasha Franklin, and Karrinn Richardson, and his son, Damon Jumper, who preceded him in death.

He was also a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren, who became an important part of the family and legacy he leaves behind.

Marv was married to Allie Richardson in August 1989, and their marriage ended in divorce in November 1994.

Marv was much more than a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was the kind of person who made a striking first impression, but it was his consistent warmth, strength, and integrity that left a lasting one. Those who knew him will remember a man with a strong presence, a unique personality, and a way of leaving his mark on the people he encountered.

A true jack of all trades, Marv enjoyed working with his hands and had an appreciation for the outdoors and the open road. He loved hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and cars. His interests reflected his adventurous and independent spirit.

Marv was also a hardworking man who spent much of his career on the road. He worked as a truck driver and dedicated more than 20 years of service to the United States Postal Service, in addition to working for other trucking companies throughout his career.

Marv leaves to cherish his memory his three daughters, Octavia Franklin, Natasha Franklin, and Karrinn Richardson;

his eight grandchildren; his surviving siblings, Bartholomew Richardson, Cornell Henderson, Sharon Henderson, Donika Henderson, Donesha Henderson, Jake Henderson, and Ronald Henderson; along with family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives he touched.

He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Damon Jumper, and his siblings Donnetta Henderson, Donnell Henderson, and James Henderson.

Marv's life cannot be measured simply by the years he lived, the jobs he held, or the places he traveled. His legacy lives in

his children, his grandchildren, his family, the stories that will continue to be told about him, and the memories held by those fortunate enough to have known him. His strength, warmth, and unmistakable presence will not be forgotten. May Marv Timothy Richardson be remembered for the life he lived, the family he leaves behind, and the lasting impression he made simply by being himself.
