Marvin Lawson Robbins

Marvin Lawson Robbins, 75, of Milliken, CO passed away February 20, 2012 surrounded by his beloved wife, Lila, of 54 years, and his family. Marvin was a devoted husband and loving father, with a sense of humor that enlightened others wherever he was. He was known to most of his friends as "Robbie".
He was born on March 8, 1936 in Harvey, Illinois. He married Lila B. Ewing of Denver, CO, on November 21, 1957 in Denver.
Marvin served proudly in the U.S. Air Force from 1956-1962, which included three years in Bremerhaven, Germany. Their first child, Susan, was born during that time.
Marvin's favorite pastime with his friends was golfing. He also enjoyed skiing the Colorado slopes with his family, often taking one daughter at a time, on a weekend ski trip, which created wonderful lifetime memories.
After the military, he began his civilian career as an Electronics Design Engineer which lasted for 45 years. He enjoyed his field of work very much.
He is survived by his wife Lila; daughters, Sue (Nico) Kay of Simi Valley,CA, Janet (Doug) Robison of Buena Vista, CO, Cathy (Andy) Brendemihl of Milliken; 3 sisters; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Friday, February 24, at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd, Lakewood, CO. A private military service will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery the following week.
