Mary Ann Pleinis, 66, of Aurora, passed away on March 06, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.
She was born March 15, 1949 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, the daughter of Raymond and Joyce (Rosio) Moritz.
She was a graduate of Sandia High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She attended the Community College of Denver (North Campus), where she met her husband. On September 2, 1972 she married Donald Pleinis, of Aurora Colorado.
Mary is survived by her husband, Donald Pleinis; two sons, Richard ( Jody ) Pleinis and Gregory ( Teri ) Pleinis; four grandchildren: Shania Proctor, Cody Pleinis Martinez, Joey Pleinis, and Grace Pleinis; three great-grandchildren: Angel, Jasmine, and Daniel. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Joyce Moritz; a brother, John G. Moritz and a Sister, Christine Joy Rubacava.
Mary has always been devoted to provide a good and meaningful life for her family. Even if it meant working at a cleaners or at a mall shop, waiting on shoppers. She would spend several years helping provide quality lunches in the food service department at Hinckley High School. She would always be caring about others, like doing home day care so she could be home when her children came home from school. She would give up her time to do Bingo or help in the band uniform room so she could be there to show her support for her sons' activities.
She practiced tough love, when needed, in hopes it would make her children and grandchildren better, and cry and feel bad though the whole time. She would beam with pride as she saw them grow into the fine young adults they are now.
She could rock your world with the LOOK and melt your heart with her smile.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Denver Hospice, 501 S. Cherry Street, Suite 700, Denver, CO 80246.
