Mary J. Duffy, of Westminster, went to be with her Lord on January 30, 2017.
Mary was born July 20, 1924 in Hutchinson, KS and is preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur E. Duffy. Mary was very active with the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 4019 serving as Auxiliary President and other positions at both the local and state levels. She was also a supporter of various charities and fund raisers for the Eagles.
Mary was an avid reader but mostly she loved to crochet. She donated many items to Aerie 4019 for fundraisers and also to the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society and local hospitals.
Mary was a loving mother of William O'Neil (Marianne), James Duffy (Lori), Sheila Gery (Warren), Barbara Garcia, Daniel Duffy, Karen Green (Jeffrey), and Ruth Starling (Larry) along with 10 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
A Celebration of life was held at FOE Aerie 4019. A private funeral was held at Ft Logan National Cemetery where she was interred with her husband. She will be deeply missed by many.
Mary was a patient at Lutheran Hospital's Collier Hospice Center. Please make donations to the Lutheran Medical Center Foundation, 8300 West 38th Ave, Wheatridge, CO 80033 or FOE Aerie 4019 in lieu of flowers.
