Mary "Fay" Shaw, 78, of Littleton, Colorado, passed from this life on May 5, 2014 surrounded by her precious family.
She was born in San Bernardino, California on October 15, 1935
She had lived most of her life in southern California and Las Vegas, Nevada, moving to Littleton, Colorado in January of 1999 at the persistent invitation by her daughter, Kristy, to be closer to family.
Her love for her family, especially her grandchildren, was apparent. She had a great sense of humor, one of Garfield (the lasagna-loving cat)'s biggest fans and was a big-time movie buff, receiving many late night calls from friends and family trying to remember the name of the movie/actor with, "you know….…that lady that played the nurse with the blonde hair and moves to France in the spring……" It wouldn't take long before the encyclopedia of films would flow from her memory and she'd recite the name and all the details you were searching for.
Fay never met a stranger. She was very outgoing and vivacious and would strike up a conversation with anyone.
She will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Fay is survived by her daughter, Kristy Shaw; grandsons Caleb & Benjamin Wilkins and Nick Strickland, all of Littleton, CO; granddaughter Wendy Strickland & husband Bo Parden & a great grandson Quinten Parden, of Huntsville, AL; sisters Wendy (Dee Dee) Walker, of Wasilla, AK, and Georgianne Beebe of Winchester, CA. Fay was preceded in death by her mother, Ida Vinion, of Winchester, CA.
