Mary J. Bretey, 84, of Thornton, passed away March 11, 2016.
She was born June 22, 1931 in Littlefield, Texas, the daughter of Roosevelt and Okle (Erp) Young.
She was a graduate of Spade High School in Spade, Texas.
Mary was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed sewing. She would make all of her own clothing.
Mary is survived by Son, David (Wendy) Brice; two stepsons, David (Bonnie) Bretey and Wade (Linda) Bretey; stepdaughter, Anne Bretey; Three Sisters, Christine Bridges, Ruth Mitchell and Rosie (Gearld) Hall; Eleven Grandchildren, Jason (Theresa) Hanson, Cory Brice, Christopher (Lorie) Hale, Craig (Tara) Brice, David Bretey, Jr., Michelle Bretey, Siri Bretey, Kenneth Carl Bretey, Heidi (Christopher) McClanahan, Marty Atchison and Melody Gerbitz and Many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by First Husband, C.C. Brice; her Second Husband, Kenneth Bretey; Father, Roosevelt Young; Mother, Okle Young; Two Sisters, Pauline Bridges, and Bobbie Pierson and Brother, Marshall Young.
