Mary Lou Lamb Obituary
Mary Lou (Morehead) Lamb of Denver, died December 18, 2025, she was the eighth child of William Archie and Nina Lucille (Fisher) Morehead. She was born on a farm north of Republic, Kansas on December 15, 1934.
Mary Lou started her elementary education at Lake School until the family moved to Belleville, KS. She attended the rest of grade school through high school in Belleville, graduating in 1953. Later she worked for the State Highway Commission in Belleville as a clerk. In 1955 she moved to Wichita, KS and was employed by Boeing Aircraft in Contract Administration. She attended Wichita University at night for a brush up course in shorthand.
On July 7, 1956 she was united in Marriage to the late Ralph Emerson Lamb Jr. at the North Island Naval Air Chapel in San Diego, CA. They were united in marriage by Father Paul A. Lloyd. To this union four children were born, Mark (stillborn), Mike, Cathy and Debbie.
While living in San Diego, she worked for Convair Aircraft as a Secretary. During this time her husband was honorably discharged from the navy. They returned to Peoria, IL later moving to Kansas City and finally to Denver, CO. in May of 1964.
Mary Lou was divorced in 1972. She then worked for a group of doctors at South Federal Medical Center. This group of doctors relocated and was later called Cardiovascular Associates PC. She worked there until retiring February 28, 1997. She was the Accounts Receivable Bookkeeper.
After her retirement she traveled to Rome, France, Canada, the East Coast, West Coast, Mexico, Oregon, California and many short trips to see family. Mary Lou helped with her grandchildren who she loved dearly, and enjoyed all of the fun family dinners and summer patio parties.
Mary Lou was proceeded in death by her son Mark, daughter Cathy, her parents, brothers, Keith, Darrel, Duane, her sisters Merlene, Fern, Reita and a brother and sister who died at infancy.
Mary Lou is survived by her son Michael Lee, daughter Kendra and son Mark, daughter Debra Ann Head, her husband John R Head, Debbie’s children, Andrew Mondragon, Melissa Herbst, her husband Stephen Herbst, their daughter Elora Quinn, Alex Mondragon and number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Saint Jude Hospital
