Mary R. Paredez

Mary Ramirez Paredez, 75, of Thornton, Colorado, passed away on June 27th, 2026, peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born in Lamesa, Texas on October 28th, 1950 to Juan and Maria Ramirez.  She then married Raul Paredez on October 5th, 1968, they shared 56 years of marriage before the passing of Raul in July of 2024.

Mary was raised working alongside her parents and siblings as migrant workers traveling to work in Nebraska, Texas and California.  

In life, Mary was always a caregiver, taking care of her family along with numerous others that were blessed to have her in their lives.  This continued into her 40 year career as a caregiver and Q map tech where she cared for residents in assisted living and nursing homes.

Mary loved attending Word Alive Church.  She was a huge Denver Broncos fan and also an avid music lover.  She loved listening to Tony Orlando, Tejano and going to sleep listening to thunderstorms.  Mary loved to travel and enjoyed all her trips but held her trip to New York close to her heart.

She will be deeply missed by all her family.  She is survived by her two daughters, Cerissa Valencia (Oscar) of Westminster, Karen Mena (Tim) of Thornton, one grandson (son) Trystan Gonzales of Thornton, one grand daughter, Lexus Valencia of Arvada and one great grandson, Jordan Clyde Jones of Arvada, three brothers, Armando Salgado of Big Spring, Joe Ramirez of Denver, Manuel Ramirez of Denver and one sister, Josie Hernandez of Big Spring as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her six brothers, Carlos Franco, Santiago Franco, Leo Salgado, Alfredo Salgado, Luis Ramirez, and John Ramirez and three sisters, Amelia Salgado, Carmen Salgado and Esperanza Gonzales.
