With a broken heart and sorrow that can only come with loving one so deeply, it is with tremendous sadness we announce the passing of Mary Beth Sepper. Mary Beth left this earth on Thursday, January 16th but, her free spirt and memories will never leave our hearts. “One good ride from start to end, I’d like to take that ride again.” No one can ever take your memories from you. Grateful Dead
Born in Chatham, New Jersey, on February 3, 1964, Mary Beth, MB to her family and friends, was a force to be reckoned with, especially if you referred to her as Mary. Beautiful on the inside and out, she exuded confidence, strength, and devotion to her family and friends. She was a beloved wife and mother. MB always referred lovingly to Thom and Jesse as “her boys” anytime she spoke about them together.
MB moved to CO decades ago, but the Jersey never left her. A hard chewy bagel, a great cold sub (never cut in half), and half-sour pickles were always her favorite New York eats. Along with her hard-core New York shell MB was also a free-spirited hippy. She was a Bon Jovi lover, and other than purple, tie-die was her favorite color. Her favorite getaway was a weekend at Indian Springs Resort reading magazines in the private baths and spending a day shopping the row of hippy shops on Main Street. She never went anywhere without her earrings and a ring on almost every finger.
MB was also a master of her craft. She was an amazing writer, manager, and mentor. “God is in the details” she would always say. It would not matter if it were a 1,000-page document or a one-page menu, she never missed a punctuation mistake, a misspelling, or the wrong tense of a word. It is a certainty that she would be getting out her favorite red pen even on her own obituary! As a manager MB always put her people first and made sure she was always teaching them, wanting them to grow. Her management style was never anything but positive leadership.
She is survived by her husband Thom, son Jesse, brothers Jimmy, Louis & Thomas , brother-in-law Pete and nephews Ryne, Alex, Shannon, Julian.
In addition to her family, MB had close friends who cherished her for her loyalty, humor, and generosity. MB’s strength and compassion were felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her, and she leaves behind a deep void in the hearts of many. MB will always be remembered as the greatest mom, friend, and her free spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
