Maurice Kevin Elliott, lovingly known as “Mo” to his family and friends, was born on September 20, 1991, and passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 34 in Aurora, Colorado.
Mo was a devoted husband, loving father, caring son, loyal brother, and cherished friend whose life was centered around making the world a better place. He had a heart for people and a spirit that naturally uplifted those around him. Whether through laughter, encouragement, or deep conversation, Mo had a gift for bringing light into every room he entered.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanerette Hasan, and his treasured daughters, Lylah Elliott, Zaylah Elliott, Zeeanah Elliott, and Amia Elliott, who were the pride and joy of his life. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Eleanor Cook, and his grandfather, Dale Cook.
Mo was a true seeker of knowledge. Finding truth and understanding the world around him was his passion. He pursued studies in audio engineering and real estate, and in 2016 he successfully fixed and flipped a home — a testament to his determination and vision. He was always striving to grow, learn, and build something meaningful.
Above all, Mo was devoted to his daughters. He loved teaching them sports, guiding them, and showing them how to move through life with confidence. He loved to laugh, joke, and put a smile on everyone’s face. His humor was effortless, his presence comforting, and his desire to enlighten and uplift others was genuine.
Although Mo’s life was cut short, the impact he made will live on forever. He touched the hearts of everyone he met and leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, curiosity, and joy.
Mo will live in our hearts forever and ever. XOXO
