Melissa Lynn Thalman, 40, of Denver, CO. Our beautiful daughter Melissa left this world on May 16, 2014 at Rose Medical Center in Denver CO. She was born in Rockford, IL on Oct. 8, 1973. She graduated from Rockford East High school in 1991 and Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. She dreamed of living on the beach, so moved to Cocoa Beach, FL. She spent 5 years there, then moved back to her beloved Colorado to live in Denver. She held various jobs there, and loved working with people. She will be remembered by those who loved her as a generous, loving and fun friend who wanted to bring happiness to everyone around her. She is survived by her parents, Lowell and Elizabeth (Binki) Thalman (Rockford, IL), brothers Mark (Laurie) Thalman (Woodbury, MN) and Martin Thalman (Boulder, CO), sister Marie (Paul) Engel (N. Mankato, MN), nephews and nieces Richard, Bethany, and Daniel Thalman, Christine, Summer, Nathen, Sara, Kelyse, Jacob, Luke and Angela Engel, many aunts, uncles and cousins, and a very special second family of dear friends in Denver. A celebration of Mel's life was held in Denver on May 22 and another will be held on the shores of Lake Michigan this summer. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home in Lakewood CO.
