Predeceased by: Father Bobby Urban and brother Eric (Deborah) Urban, maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, 2 aunts , 1uncle, 3 cousins, 1 brother in-law and extended family Mr. And Mrs. Ryan.

Melody grew up in Englewood, CO with her siblings and went to Englewood schools. After graduating from Englewood High School she was employed by Swedish Hospital, Children's Hospital and Lutheran Hospital.

She met her husband Chuck while working at Swedish Hospital and they fell in love and were married at All Soul's Catholic Church in April 1986. A few years later they were blessed with their beautiful daughter Ashley.

As with most young couples, Mel and Chuck started out with little and with a lot of hard work and love raised Ashley and through thick and thin built a loving home and life together.

Life brought more challenges about 10 years ago when Melody was diagnosed with Crohns disease. They hung together as a family and seemed to be getting the upper hand, purchased a new home and were settling in when Ashley announced she was engaged with plans to marry in March 2013. Melody was very much looking forward to this life event however in March 2012 she became ill and was diagnosed with cancer, fought the fight but it was not a fight she was able to win.

She had many interests including sports, gardening, decorating, and picnics, but most loved her time with her family, weekends at her Uncle J. Welty's farm and friends, children especially babies and animals. She will be missed by all who knew her. She had a way of touching us all who came in contact with her.

Contributions may be made in Memory of Melody McAnallen to Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America or America Cancer Society.
