Merilyn Ruth Ford

Merilyn Ruth (Russell) Ford a lifelong resident of Colorado died on January 15th, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Merilyn was born in Colorado Springs on 03/28/1928 to G. Ben and Fern Russell.
She is survived by three children all of Colorado; Patricia Lambrecht (Richard), Tim Ford (Doris) and Scott Ford (Melinda) along with a brother, Jack Russell of Maine. Merilyn is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death in 2002 by her husband of 46 years William Henry Ford II.
Merilyn very much liked carnations, classic movies, crossword puzzles, Robert Goulet, reading and her mother. She loved, Frank Sinatra, cold chicken, her father, her husband and her God.
She was an accomplished singer, cook, teacher, wife, friend and mother-in-law. She was extremely generous, gracious and loving to all and appreciated and could tell a good joke. She was a caring wonderful mom throughout her life to her own children and to any other child needing a mentor.
May her next thousand years in Heaven with her husband, friends and family have all of the joy and life of her first seventy-five years on earth as she embraces it with the same determination, spirit and sparkle in her eyes.
