Michael Farrell Farley "Mike" of Westminster, Colorado passed away in his home on August 8th 2016. He was 87 years old.
Born 11/20/1928 in Denver, Co. Preceding him in death are: his wife of 61 years, Elsie Pearl (Hickman) Farley, Mother: Sybil O. (Smith) Farley born in Utah and Father: Jessie Winthrop Farley born in New Mexico, Sister: Bonnie L. (Farley) Spencer of Colorado Springs. Died in infancy was Timothy Perry Grandchild, Cody Perry Great Grandchild. His children: 4 daughters Kathy L. Niemeier of San Leandro, Ca, Jennifer l. Perry currently residing in her Father Michael's home, Elaine R. Stadelman of Sturgis, Ky., Lorriane M. Farley of Westminster. One son David Michael Farley of Westminster. Many grandchildren and great grand children. Grandchildren: Meaghan McKeehan, Charles Niemeier, Christopher Perry, Andrew Perry, Barbara Russell, Alexandra Farley, Daniel Stadelman, Samuel Farley, Gabriel Farley, and Aubrey Farley. 10 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren and nephew Rocky Spencer and many great-nephews and great-nieces.
Michael was raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Graduated from. Colorado Springs High school. After high school he worked as a Radio and TV repairman and Clearfield Electronic Company.
He was both U.S Navy and U.S. Air Force with Honorable Discharges. He Joined the U.S. Navy in 1946 -and U.S. Naval Aviation 1948 and the U.S. Air Force 1949- 1954, having served during the Korean War.
Michael was a life time member and ordained in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Endowed at the Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a tenor in the Colorado Mormon Chorale where he participated in many performances through out the years.
Viewing will be 10:30 am - 11:30 am. Funeral 11:30 - 12:00 at LDS church 1951 Elmwood Ln., Denver, Co 80221, Burial at Fort Logan National Cemetery with Full military honors and veterans Honor Guard. 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver, Co. At 2:00pm. Please send all condolences/ flowers to Newcomer Funeral Home, 901 S. Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood, Co 80226.
