Mike Farrell

Mike Farrell, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly at his home in Lakewood, Colorado, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

Mike was born in New Rochelle, New York, to Jeanne and Arthur Farrell. He grew up in New York alongside his brothers and sisters Patti, Bill, Mary Jeanne, John and Jimmy and had many wonderful nieces and nephews. After graduating from Suffern high school, where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame (for Lacrosse), Mike went on to attend the University of Maryland, where he played lacrosse and earned All-American honors. He had many fond memories of his time at Maryland as well as his time with his family especially on their annual trips to Cape May.

Mike became a father to his daughter, Elizabeth, in March 1990. In 2000, his family grew when he met Caryn and welcomed her two daughters, Ashley and Amber, into his life. Together, Mike and Caryn built a family filled with love, laughter and lasting memories.

Mike loved traveling to Mexico, where he could spend his days relaxing on the beach and enjoyed watching sports, but nothing brought him more joy than time spent with his grandsons. He especially loved playing sports with Landry and playing cars on the floor with Brayden. These simple, precious moments with his grandsons were among the truest joys of his life.

Mike was incredibly proud of his daughters, Elizabeth, Ashley, and Amber, and of the beautiful lives they each created with their husbands, Zach, Branden, and Andy. He took great pride in watching his daughters grow into the women they became and in the loving families they built together. Their happiness, accomplishments, and the lives they shared with the people they loved meant so much to him. He cherished every opportunity to celebrate their lives and was proud to call them his daughters.

Mike had a strong love for his in-laws, Pete and Cindy, and valued the relationship he had with them over the years. He also had a great relationship with his brother-in-laws, Dustin and Ty and his wife Brandy and their family with whom he shared many good times and laughs with. He was grateful to have them as part of his extended family and enjoyed the time they spent together.

Mike will be remembered for his love of family, his passion for sports, his one-of-a-kind sense of humor, and the many memories he created with the people he loved. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
