Michael D. Olson, 68, of Denver, passed away January 2, 2017.
He was born May 7, 1948 in Ames, Iowa, the son of Milo and Berniece (Anderson) Olson.
Michael was a graduate of S. Hamilton High School in Jewell, Iowa in 1966. He then received his Bachelors Degree from Iowa State University.
He retired as a Technician with the City and County of Denver Social Services Department.
Michael will be remembered as living his life with gusto. He was passionate about life and every experience. He enjoyed hiking with Gerald. Together, they hiked over 130 miles this summer. He was an awesome photographer. He also enjoyed playing and listening to music, making many CDs for everyone's enjoyment.
Michael is survived by the love of his life and Partner of 29 years, Gerald DeVargas.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
