Mickey Louise Maes , 70, of Edgewater, passed away July 27, 2017.
She was born December 24, 1946 in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Noe and Modesta (Gauna) Ortega.
She was a graduate of West High School.
Mickey loved crocheting, playing bingo, trips to the Black Hawk and cooking. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Mickey is survived by four children, Paul C. Maes, Frank J. (Laura) Maes, Angelique M. Velasquez, and Alfredo C. Velasquez (Melissa Meza); 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce (Steve) Velasquez; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends and beloved dog, Selina.
She is preceded in death by father, Noe Frank Ortega; mother, Modesta Ortega; daughter, Marlene P. Ortega; Three sisters, Bertha Bettale, Mabel Santistevan and Virginia Trujillo and brother, Joseph Ortega.
