Mildred C. "Millie" Killip, 97, of Lakewood, passed away October 1, 2017.
She was born January 2, 1920 in Trinidad, Colorado, the daughter of Earl and Hazel (Salmon) Fisher. She was a graduate of North High School. She graduated from Central Business College and taught there for several years. She was married to a World War II Veteran, William J. Killip, of Denver, Colorado on June 21, 1946.
Mildred loved to play cards, bridge being one of her favorites. She was a very devoted Christian woman, she enjoyed reading the bible everyday. Mildred collected over the years Owl figurines and anything Owl related.
Mildred is survived by daughter, Kristine (Allen) Verdeal; son, William J. II (Christine) Killip; sibling, Betty Baker-Bickley; grandchildren Amy, Misty, Jaimee, Josh, Janie and Nick; great grandchildren, Meagan, Emma, David Jr., Everett, Lillian, along with 1 great grandchild and Alice a great great grandchild coming soon. She is preceded in death by Husband, William J. Killip, Father, Earl Fisher, Mother, Hazel Fisher; Sister, Verna Williams.
In lieu of flowers guests are invited to make contributions to: The Mapleton Care Center, Mountair Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
