Mildred Dean Scates

Proverbs 31:26 She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.

 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mildred Scates on November 17th, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on August 9th,1954, Mildred was known for her kindness, generosity and lighthearted loving spirt. She brought joy to all those around her.

 Mildred will be lovingly remembered by her children, Saanyo Scates, Stephanie McClain, her husband Tommy McClain and their daughters Wren and Jordin McClain, her sister Nazzie Hawkins and brothers Oscar Jackson, his wife Ko Ye Jackson, Cleon Jackson, his wife Annie Jackson and Douglas Jackson, his wife Cassandra Jackson.

 She is joined in rest by her mother, Julia Jackson, her brothers Donnell and Charles Jackson and sister Betty Walls.

 Mildred will be deeply missed by her family and all that knew her. Her memory will continue to live on through the strength, kindness and generosity that she shared with everyone.
