Millie Gay, 95 of Aurora Colorado passed away on Wednesday July 1st, 2026. She was born on August 29th,1930 to Frederick & Edna (Nauenburg) Boesiger. Millie attended school in Monroe, Nebraska, graduating from Monroe High School at the age of 16.

Millie worked in town at the gas company where she met Bob Gay. They were married on October 3rd, 1950, and loved for over 70 years. They were members of the Jaycees in Columbus Nebraska where they met their lifelong friends and enjoyed getting together every year on the 4th of July. She became a homemaker after her children were born. After moving to Colorado, she was an active member of Christ the Savior Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge, making Kahlua, going up on the hill, sweets, and especially spending time with her family.

Millie is survived by her children Jeff Gay, Barb Gay, Kim Thompson (Gary), her grandchildren, Emily Wood (Colin), Kelsey Gay, Travis Gay, Sydney Thompson, Logan Thompson, and her great grandchildren Eli & Stella Wood.

Millie is preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob, her parents, her sister Marlene, her brother Gilbert, and her brother-in-law Jerry.

Funeral services will be on Saturday July 25th, 2026 at 10:00 am at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church located at 1092 South Nome Street Aurora, Co 80012. Luncheon will follow the service at Millie’s House at 19574 E Ida Place Aurora, CO 80015. Burial to follow at a later date in Columbus Nebraska.
