Milton was born to Lewis and Edna Hosman, July 24, 1923 in Denver, Colorado.
He was married for 68 years to Florence who survives him; and leaves behind his children Diane Mattingley (Leonard), Don (Anthonette), and Barbara Dowdy (Daryl); grandchildren Dena Hackenberg (Scott), Denise Geis (Gregg), Frank Wagner (Nacole), and Jennifer Dowdy; great-grandchildren Amanda Rossetti (Bryan), Kaitlyn, Chase, Taylor, and Lexi; and great-great-grandchildren Haylie and Vinnie.
Milton graduated from North High School in 1941 and then joined the Navy as an Aviation Radioman during WWII. He was president of Colorado Bookkeeping and Tax Service until 1973. After coming out of retirement, he joined the Volunteers of America as Regional Comptroller until 1992 where he became a VOA minister. He was also affiliated with the National Society of Accountants, the American Legion, the Lakewood Elks, and the Buick Club of America. His 1952 Buick Riviera gave him much pride and he enjoyed participating in parades and car shows, winning numerous awards for his vintage vehicle.
Milton was a jack-of-all-trades who loved woodworking, cars, trains, planes, tending his roses, and maintaining a beautiful yard. He and Florence had life-long friends who shared water skiing, SWAG club, love of dancing and playing pinochle. They also traveled extensively and loved life. He always provided support and love to his family, never having a bad word to say about anyone. Besides being a wonderful man, husband and father, his most memorable comment was always "Yeah, right.".
