Nancy Elizabeth Frenette passed away peacefully in hospice on August 31, 2026, at the age of 82. Born Nancy Elizabeth Wallin in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on December 26, 1943, she was the eldest child of Raymond and Claire (Ludwig) Wallin, and sister to Bruce Wallin and Patricia Ferguson. She was a proud graduate of Ephrata High School in Ephrata, Washington, and attended Western Washington University in Bellingham.
Nancy met the love of her life, Roger Frenette, in Ephrata, and they were married at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church on September 5, 1964. They later moved to Denver, Colorado, where they raised three sons—Greg (Ronda), Steve (Cheryl), and Doug (Sherry)—and formed many lifelong friendships in their neighborhood.
Nancy enjoyed bowling and built an impressive collection of Barbies. She found joy in the simple beauty of nature and the small wonders it offered. She loved butterflies, especially monarchs, and planted milkweed to attract them. She cherished beach vacations, where she could spend hours looking for sea shells and peering into tide pools. Over the years, she was active in several ministries and groups at St. Jude Catholic Church. She delighted in her grandsons—Matthew (Jessica), Joshua (Jordan), Christopher, and Benjamin (Carly)—and her six great‑grandchildren, all of whom live in Colorado. She was loved for being an excellent listener and for her wonderful sense of humor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church in Lakewood on September 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., preceded by a viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
