Nathaniel "Nate" Allen Carrigan , 35, of Bailey, CO, passed away in the line of duty on February 24, 2016.
He was born November 7, 1980 in Denver, Colorado, the son of John and Melissa (Klipp) Carrigan. He was a graduate of Platte Canyon High School High School where he holds the record for the most athletic letters in the school history. He was the Varsity Head Coach for Baseball and Assistant Coach for Football at Platte Canyon High School for many years. He also worked at the school in many position the last being School Resource Officer. He devoted most of his free time to the community. He graduated from the Highlands Ranch Public Safety Institute, receiving many top honors in 2003. He worked for 13 years with the Park County Sheriff's Office and served faithfully up to the moment of his passing, receiving multiple commendations and awards throughout his career.
Nate is survived by his Parents, John K. & Melissa J. Carrigan; Two Brothers, John D. (Jennifer) Carrigan, Jeremiah R. (Paula) Carrigan; Sister, Alicia M. (Joshua Bellomy) Carrigan; Girlfriend, Melissa Patterson and her children, Brandon, Tyler, Heather, Sam; Four Nieces, Jennalyn Carrigan, Jessica Carrigan, Janessa Carrigan, Sawyer Bellomy; Two Nephews, Kaiden Bellomy, Brian Bellomy; Four Uncles, Brett (Kimberly) Carrigan, Marvin (Dawn) Carrigan, Michael Carrigan, Melvin Klipp; Aunt, Kara (Jeff) Hastings. He is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Kenneth & Norita Carrigan; Maternal Grandmother, Kathryn Klipp; Uncle, Mark David Klipp.
