Neil Robert Musgrave, 91, passed away peacefully in his home in Lochbuie, Colorado, April 20, 2026, surrounded by the love that he created with his family. He was born April 2nd, 1935, in Fort Morgan, Colorado, to Vern William Musgrave and Verline Esther (Hoy) Musgrave.
He was raised in a loving home that was built on the Word of God with their Christian faith guiding their daily lives. Neil carried his faith throughout his life and loved sharing the message of salvation with everyone he met.
Neil graduated from Kiowa High School in 1954 and enlisted in the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic. After four years of service and being honorably discharged, he went to dispatcher school in Florida. Neil worked full time for Western Airlines and part time for Aspen Airways where he would dispatch airplanes from Stapleton International Airport. His career with Western and Delta airlines ended in retirement after 38 and ½ years. He then went on to work for two of his brothers at their trucking company, as a truck driver, for 20 years before stepping into a well-earned second retirement.
He met his wife, Geri, working at Western Airlines in April of 1969. They wed in December of that year and had two sons. His family grew to include 8 grandchildren (two by marriage) , two great-grandchildren, and many well loved nieces and nephews.
In our grief, Neil’s smile, laughter, and presence that lit up every room will be greatly missed. In our faith, we have peace knowing that in his passing, Neil is now in the presence of his Lord and Savior, and he was reunited with loved ones who went before him.
Burial will be 11 A.M. Thursday, May 7th, at Fort Logan Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, Colorado.
A Homegoing Celebration will be 11 A.M. Saturday, May 9th, at Elmwood Baptist Church, 13100 E 144th Ave, Brighton, Colorado.
