Nelda Imogene Schuman, 94, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away May 23, 2017, at Garden Plaza of Aurora, Colorado.
Imogene was born on March 20, 1923, in a little community west of Peoria, Illinois called Huntsville to Fred L. and Bessie E. (Black) Simpson. She graduated from Vermont High School in May 1940.
On a spring day, March 24, 1945, in Astoria, Illinois, Imogene married Roy Earl Schuman of Browning, Illinois. Roy served in the US Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict. Imogene is survived by one son and three daughters: Son, David (Rhonda) Schuman and their three children, Jamie, Katie, and Michael with two great grandchildren, Deuce and Remington; Daughter, Debbie (Mark) Trafton and their son, Math, with a great grandchild, Zoe; Daughter, Tanya (William) Frick and their sons William and David, with two great grandchildren, Trista and Faith; Daughter, Pamela (Billy) Brown and their two children, Tyler and Carrie, with four great grandchildren, Allison, Nicholas, Lindsay and Brianna.
Imogene was an Army housewife for 20 years and began her working career approximately 1963 as a medical billing clerk at St Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
Her family was her pride and joy! She felt blessed with all the love and care her family provided.
Private funeral services for Imogene will be held, Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Fort Logan Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
Imogene will be truly missed by her loving family.
