Norma Jean Bilyeu, 84, of Aurora, went to heaven on Sunday, March 20, 2017.
Jean was born to the late Elmer and Bessie Bilyeu on October 4, 1932 in Big Springs, Nebraska. Jean graduated from Estes Park High School in 1950 and received a RN in Nursing from University of Denver/St. Luke's in 1953. She married SMSG Frederick J. Gallant in 1954 and married Lt. Col. Alfred Fisbeck in 1982. She lived in Denver and Aurora during those marriages.
Jean was a prenatal nurse until she retired in 2006. She took care of premature babies for over 50 years.
Jean was an active member of Beth Abraham Denver Church. She went on missionary trips to Soloman Islands, Mexico and Africa. She was an active prayer warrior and took care of babies until the age of 82.
Jean is survived by four children, Robin D. Gallant of Aurora, CO, Clifford E. Gallant of Clay Center, NE, Anthony L. Gallant of Elizabeth, CO, and Joseph F. Gallant of Jeffersonville, IN. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Bessie Bilyeu; sister, Bernice Anderson; and brother, Dean Bilyeu.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 5575 DTC Pkwy, Greenwood Village, CO 80111.
