Norman William Troester
January 29, 1931 – February 20, 2011
Norman William Troester, born January 29, 1931 to William G. (Bill) Troester and Emma M. (Reiners) Troester, Ask Creek Area, McCooK, Nebraska.
After Norman finished his schooling, he was drafted into the Army where he served two years. Norman was married October 24, 1954 to Dolores D. Witt. Norman and Dolores adopted two children, Jackie R. Tenn and Douglas R. Troester and lived in McCook, Nebraska, Arvada, Lakewood, Golden and Englewood, CO.
Norman retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a Letter Carrier in 1991. After retirement they returned to McCook, to be near to and care for their mothers, Emma Troester and Sarah Witt and remained there for ten years.
Norm and Dolores were members of Good Samaritan, Western Trails, Colorado Hart Ranch and Golden Huskers. Norman was a member of the Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod and attended different Lutheran Churches in all the states they traveled.
Norman is preceded in death by both parents and in-laws, one brother-in-law, Bill Goss, two sisters-in–law, Eilene Jones and Donna Goss. Norman is also survived by his daughter, Jackie Tenn and her husband, Lunse, and son Douglas Troester and his wife Anna, 2 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 3 step great grandchildren and one step grandson, a sister-in-law, Norma Lewis(Delbert),sister-in-law, Donna Goss, brother-in-law, Eugene Witt(Beverly),Aunt-in-law, Aunt Reta, and a large number of nieces and nephews.
Norman and Dolores were active members of the Senior Citizens Center while in McCook, Nebraska, and active in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakewood, CO when their children attended church there.
