He was born October 28, 1920 in Mora, New Mexico, the son of Bernabe and Beatrice (Silva) Tapia.
Olmedo was a WWII United States Army Veteran.
Olmedo is survived by his Children: Tina (Louis) Martinez, Gene (Christine) Tapia, David (Paula) Tapia, Leonard Marquez, Mildred Yvonne Tapia(Pablo Montellano), Diane Perez; numerous Grandchildren and Great grandchildren.
