Pat "P.J." Cahill, 75, of Denver, passed away February 5, 2017.

He was born August 22, 1941 in Manhattan, New York, the son of John and Mary (Ludlow) Cahill.

He was a graduate of Delahanty High School in Jamaica/Queens, New York. He later attended Metro State College in Denver.

He also honorably served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Alaska and Wyoming.

On June 2, 1963 he married Katharine "Beth" Smith.

Pat was a member of the Day Lily Society. Pat was the Treasurer for the Highland Games for many years.

Pat loved to play racquetball and tennis. He was an avid gardener. He was a Beer connoisseur who enjoyed at-home brewing and attending the Great American Beer Fest each year. Pat collected coins and stamps. Pat also loved playing the financial markets and trading stocks. He traveled as well, taking trips with Beth to Ireland and Scotland. Above all, Pat enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, taking them to baseball games.

Pat is survived by his Loving Wife of 53 years, Beth Cahill; Son, Sean P. (Cynthia) Cahill; Daughter, Katharine Maureen (Dennis) Cowan; Five Grandchildren, Shane Cahill, Briana Cahill, Cameron Cowan, Lacey Cowan and Donovan Cowan; Brother, John (Mary) Cahill; Two Nephews, John Cahill, Johnny Smith and Three Nieces, Brigid Cahill, Kerri Cahill and Deana Stoios.

He is preceded in death by Parents, John and Mary Cahill, Brother, Thomas Cahill and Sister, Maureen Cahill.
