Patricia (Patsy) A. Slayton Colman, 65, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2014, with family by her side, from complications of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
Patsy was born on December 24, 1948 in Fayetteville, TN. She moved to Colorado with her parents in 1963. She graduated from Littleton High School in 1966. Patsy and her husband, Roy, were married 48 years and for many years have resided, and raised their children, in Elbert County, CO.
She is survived by husband, Roy, children: Monica, Roy Jr., Melissa, Nathan and Travis; mother, Evelyn Slayton and sister, Debbie (Jerry) Williams; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her brother, Ronald L. Slayton (1990) and father, Hilliard C. Slayton (2000).
Patsy was a fun-loving, full-of-life lady with an infectious laugh and great sense of humor who loved family/friend gatherings. She was loving, kind, and caring, one of those people everyone liked.
On Friday, August 15, 6:00-8:00 pm., Visitation will be at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Metro Chapel, 190 Potomac St., Aurora, CO 80011. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, August 16, 1:00 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 34200 County Road 17, Elizabeth, CO 80107. Following the service, Burial will be at Elbert-Kiowa Cemetery with a reception immediately following at the church.
