Patricia G. Gonzales, was born on February 4, 1946 in Raton, New Mexico and passed away, Tuesday, September 11, 2012. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Crescenti (Drew); daughter, Sarah Hendricks (Henry); son, Francais Andrade; daughter, Juanita Andrade (Jorge Nieto); Sister, Gloria Gonzales; and brothers, Manuel, Louie, and Fernando Gonzales. She was blessed with 14 Grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous relatives and friends. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Fernando and Julia Gonzales; and her brother, Phillip Gonzales.
Patricia loved flowers and her favorites were carnations. She always talked about having a garden with lots of trees and flowers. Patricia had gotten a head start at her home in New Mexico where she lived most of her life, she then retired to Colorado where she made her home for the last 3 years. Patricia was a nurse for 44 years, starting out first as a candy striper, then nurse's aide and then a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a traveling nurse and also worked in old age homes. She loved taking care of her patients. She had seen how so many people had been ignored or mistreated by their families and wanted to extend loving kindness to them all, and she did. She knew that someday she was going to be like them, perhaps that's what made her such a good patient. She genuinely appreciated the love and care she received from her family and friends. She was very silly around her family and always enjoyed making people laugh 'til it hurt. Patricia will always be remembered as being modest, private and conservative – except for those occasional outbursts of silliness that endeared her to everyone. She was a hard-working, single parent, and even took a mechanics class in her 30s. She taught her kids not to be afraid to try anything; she had always said "You can fix anything with duct tape, a butter knife and a high heel". If something needed to be done, she just did it. And her kids are like that today. She was the most beautiful example of a loving mother. Please join us in celebrating her life at 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 8200 S Ogden Circle, Littleton, Colorado.
