In Memory of Patricia A. Hoke
Pat Hoke was born May 14, 1939 in Denver, Colorado to Charles and Roberta Carlon. She is survived by her sister Cindy Roberts; daughters Teresa (Jim) Schaefer and Tammy Kummet; son Monty Hoke; three grandchildren Candice (Dan) Rosenberger, Tanya Kummet, and Sara Hoke; and one great-grandchild Grayson Rosenberger.
Pat attended St. Louis Catholic School and graduated from Englewood High School (class of 57). She worked as an elevator operator in her teens at the Daniel Fisher tower for Mountain Bell.
In August 1958, Pat married Bob Hoke and had three children and a second marriage to Clay Bailey and had four step-children Kathy, Nick, Cheri and Keri. She cared for all seven children and loved being a mom. Pat worked hard to raise her children.
Pat became employed by Sterns Rogers/Raython Engineering and worked in the purchasing department and the engineering library. She retired after 21 years and later returned to work and was employed by Walgreens for five years.
Pat joined a sorority in 1971; the most recent chapter called Alpha Beta Master Sigma Phi. Pat held many positions including President and was acting Vice President at the time of her death. She attended many State conventions and organized the lunch events. Pat was also on the reunion committee from Englewood High School and assisted in the monthly lunch held for the class.
Pat had many hobbies. She played the flute in high school and loved all types of music. She was devoted to the catholic church and her friends and family. She always had a smile on her face and her striking blue eyes matched the Colorado sky. Pat loved to go to the mountains to her family cabin. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, hiking, rock collecting and embracing the mountains.
Pat, Mom, your enormous love inspires us all and it was an honor to take care of you in the past 10 months and we, your children, Bless you to the Angels.
Love,
Teresa, Tammy, Monty, Candice, Tanya, Sara, Grayson, Cindy, Steven, Gary and all your family and friends.
