Paul David ("P.D.") Nelson, 24, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on March 27, 2014.
P.D. was born in Denver, Colorado, on October 11, 1989, son of Tracey Lynnette Perkins and Paul and Dianna Nelson. He was the brother of Sheena Whittmorr and her husband Adam, Kyle Whitt, Shanise Perkins and Nate Perkins, and the grandson of Carl and Jody Nelson of McAlester, Oklahoma. In addition to his parents and siblings, P.D. is survived by his niece, Lulu, and dozens of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
We will forever remember P.D.'s deep love of and affection for family, his gentle and genuine smile, his frank joy and sweet spirit. When we think of P.D., we see him with his arms around the people he loves—always smiling, always blessed to be with family and friends. Our hearts are broken but also thankful to have had him in our lives and to have been encouraged by his loving soul.
P.D. grew up in Aurora, Colorado, and graduated from Gateway high school in 2008. He was a fan of Marvel comics, Star Wars, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and Bob Marley. May he sing now with the angels, and someday we will sing and dance with them together.
We love you. We miss you!

A memorial service is planned for Friday, April 4, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at Newcomer Funeral Home, 190 Potomac St., Aurora, CO. All are invited to the wake following the service (@12:30) at the home of Paul and Dianna Nelson.
