Paul Martin Amerine of Aurora passed away peacefully on August 2, 2016, ending an accomplished life surrounded by family and friends who were touched by his fighting spirit.
Paul was born on March 19, 1952, in Vacaville,California to Paul and Frances Amerine. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed. His passion was working with teachers and students. He loved volunteering as a student mentor with children in the Aurora public school system, where he worked for 29 years. Paul was very active and enjoyed golf, fishing, and hikingoutdoors with his beloved wife.
Paul is survived by his wife, Lynn; sister, Paula; former wife, Beth; children Maddie, Hans, Gretchen, Marc, Amy, and Sandra; son-in-law Mike; sister-in-law Jean; and 7 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and his larger Wray, Colorado family.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Christ the Savior Lutheran church, located at 1092 S. Nome St. in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Denver Dumb Friends League, Denver Hospice, and Christ the Savior Lutheran Church.
