In devoted memory of Paul Schuette
Paul was an enigma to those who knew him well: intensely private, yet drawing loyal and loving friends easily. An off-kilter sense of humor was surely one attraction, as well as his kindness and genuine interest in the world and lives surrounding him. Paul moved through his life at his own pace, and under the guidance of his own agenda, sometimes to the loving exasperation of his devoted family. He remained obdurate to the end, and it served him well, as he accepted his death and charted its course to ensure a peaceful transition.
Paul, you are truly one of a kind, and we will miss your devilish smile and all that lay beneath your public face, for those times we were lucky enough to glimpse the unique spirit beneath. We are comforted knowing that spirit is now free to chart a mischievous course through a new world. Until we meet again…we love you.
