Listen to Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Paula Jean Beller (Sparks), who left us on February 24th, 2026, at the age of 90. Throughout her life, Paula embraced many roles: a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, proud great-great-grandmother, and friend, who brought joy not only to her life but also to the lives of those around her.

Born on September 10, 1935, in Eldorado, Kansas, to Paul Sparks and Opal Eugene Good. Paula grew up on the principles of hard work, faith, and the importance of family alongside her three younger brothers, Raymond, James, and Joe Sparks. As a young woman, she was known for her spirited personality and love of conversation—traits that remained with her throughout her life.

On July 6th, 1952, she married George Beller. In 1955, the young couple moved to Denver, Colorado, where they began building their life together. For the next seventy-one years, they dedicated themselves to building a family rooted in love, laughter, and resilience. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership that withstood the test of time, filled with memorable stories and unwavering devotion to one another.

Paula's life was rich with passions that brought her immense joy. In 1968, she proudly earned her pilot’s license, a reflection of her adventurous spirit and determination. She loved bowling, dancing, and playing poker, an activity at which she was especially skilled. Paula shared her love of crochet with her daughter and grandchildren, teaching them the beauty of patience and creativity. During family gatherings, Paula was often the heart of the celebration, found sitting at her organ with her family joyfully singing along beside her. These cherished moments, in Paula's own words, convey her wish to be remembered: "As a pleasant and happy mother, grandmother, and friend."

Paula's loyalty to her family will live on. She was a nurturing mother to her two children, Paul David Beller and Susan Dee Reed. Her memory will remain treasured in the hearts of her daughter, Susan Reed; grandchildren, Miki Gann (George), Christine Beller, David Beller (Nick), Carri Senter (Mark), Linda Eve, Sarah Kane (Jeremy), Natalie Lanni (Jason); great-grandchildren, Trevin Wharton, Andrew Wharton (Ashleigh), Braydon Hughes, Ayden Gann, Maya Hughes, Ashlyn Eve, Amelia Hughes, Jaylee Kane, Kenlee Kane, Caizlee Kane; and great-great-grandchildren, Waylon Wharton and Nelly Wharton. She was preceded in death by her beloved spouse, George Stewart Beller, and her son, Paul David Beller.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 11:00 am. We invite all who had the honor of knowing Paula to join us in commemorating a life well-lived, filled with grace and laughter.

Family and friends are invited to gather following the service to continue sharing memories and celebrating Paula’s life. Please contact the family for additional details.
