Peggy Segelken (Margaret Lavern DeSilver), 89, passed away peacefully in her home in Centennial, CO on Saturday, May 14th, 2016.
Peggy was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 7th, 1926. She graduated from Hughes High School in 1944. Following high school, she attended Western College for Woman (now part of Miami University) in Oxford, OH and then the University of Cincinnati.
Peggy married Fred Segelken (3/30/1926 - 1/31/2013) on November 19, 1948. They lived in Cincinnati until 1996 when they moved to Hendersonville, NC. From 1993 until 2002, they enjoyed a winter home in Parrish, FL. In November of 2010, they moved to Colorado to be near family.
Peggy worked in the family business at Pickering Hardware. She loved gardening, trips to the zoo, playing bridge, knitting afghans and most of all, her family.
Peggy is survived by 2 children, George (Lorrie) and Patty (Gary McErlane); 4 grandchildren, Michael (Mary Beth), Dave (Kim), Jen, and Liz (Doug Bishop); 2 great-grandchildren, Sophie McErlane and Oliver Bishop
