Phyllis Winfrey Wendling, 69, of Littleton, Colorado passed away Tuesday morning, February 5th.
She was born to the late Charles and Mildred Winfrey, on June 15, 1943 in Joplin, Missouri. Phyllis graduated from high school in Neodesha, Kansas and received a BA in English from Kansas State. She married Weston Wendling in 1976, and they made their life in Littleton, Colorado.
Phyllis was an elementary school teacher in the Littleton area for 35 years, teaching and guiding children with love and care.
Phyllis loved any animal, from mouse to horse. Her gardens were her pride and joy and beautifying her home a passion.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Weston. She is also survived by her three brothers and their wives: Charles and Meredith Winfrey, Dennis and Peggy Winfrey and Wayne and Loretta Winfrey. Among others who will miss her are numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to any animal support organization.
