Priscilla Anna Chavez, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2020, at the age of 91 in Denver, Colorado. Born on February 14, 1929, in Wagon Mound, New Mexico, Priscilla dedicated her life to her family and home, embodying strength, love, and resilience throughout her journey.

A true homemaker at heart, Priscilla's unwavering commitment to her six children brought a sense of purpose that was palpable in every aspect of her life. Despite the financial hardships that came her way, she kept her home immaculate and filled with warmth. She meticulously bathed her children every day in their formative years and prepared countless meals, demonstrating her remarkable talent in the kitchen. Her culinary creations were not just food; they were expressions of love served at a table that was always welcoming.

Priscilla's education journey took her to the 8th grade, yet her thirst for knowledge remained strong throughout her life. She mastered reading and writing skills, showcasing that formal education does not necessarily define intelligence. This, combined with her strong and independent spirit, empowered her to face life's challenges head-on while nurturing those she loved.

Though shy and quiet, Priscilla had a remarkable ability to connect with others. She was a trusted confidante, offering a listening ear without judgment. Those fortunate enough to cross her path quickly discovered a loving presence who possessed an excellent memory and a kind heart. Her love for family transcended all, creating bonds that were unbreakable.

Priscilla cherished her hobbies, finding joy in embroidering and sharing daily walks with her beloved husband, Antonio "Tony" Chavez. Their relationship, which lasted an incredible 67 years, was a testament to their love, loyalty, and the legacy they created together while raising their six children.

She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Tony, who left this world on May 27, 2012; her son, Jose E. Chavez; and her beloved parents, Eligio and Emilia Manzanares. Priscilla is survived by her proud and loving family, which includes four daughters, Domicilia (Louie) Gallegos, Vera (Joe) Chavez, Maxine (Vincent) Saavedra, and Cathy (Steve) Lucero; her son, Danny (Sylvia) Chavez; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her spirit forward in their lives.

In the days and years to come, those who knew Priscilla Anna Chavez will remember her as a gentle soul whose unwavering love and dedication shaped a family, instilling values that will endure for generations. As she rests in eternal peace, her legacy of love, kindness, and strength continues to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. A private ceremony for the family will be held at Golden Cemetery, where they will gather to honor her memory.
