He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kathryn (Mahlstedt) Quinn, his father, Mike Quinn and his mother, Essie Quinn.
After growing up on a farm in Iowa, Quinten moved to California to work in an airplane factory, assembling wings for P-51 Mustangs. In 1943 he volunteered to serve in World War II and was commissioned as an officer in the Army Air Corps where he flew C-47 Skytrains in the China-Burma-India Theater of Operations. In the years after returning home, marrying, and starting a family, Quinten enjoyed a long career as a Numerical Control Programmer and Manufacturing Engineer for Sundstrand Aviation in Broomfield.
Quinn was a devoted family man. He read extensively about history and current events and enjoyed using his engineering talents to solve every day problems with everything from string to paper clips. Quinn's sense of humor and his ability to recall Irish tunes impressed and entertained his family.
