Ralph P. Ziegler

Ralph P. Ziegler, 82, of Englewood, passed away January 9, 2017.

He was born on a farm on August 4, 1934 in Collyer, Kansas, the son of George and Mariana (Waldman) Ziegler. He was also raised on that farm.

On September 11, 1956 he married Maurine Zerr, formerly of Park, KS.

Ralph was an Ice Cream Freezer Operator for 16 years and then worked at the Sears Warehouse for 25 years where he retired as the Warehouse Supervisor.

Ralph was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 14443 and also of St. Louis Catholic Parish in Englewood.

Ralph was an avid gardener and enjoyed being outside. He also enjoyed his trips to Black Hawk. After his retirement, Ralph loved to travel. Ralph would often travel to the store to see new things. Above all, Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family.

Ralph is survived by his Loving Wife of 60 years, Maurine Ziegler; Three Children, Connie Burkhart, Kenny (Fran) Ziegler and Jerlyn (Jim) Rodriguez; Nine Grandchildren, Matt (Katie) Fenton, Danae (Brian) Mark, Bradley (Kimberly) Fenton, Kristen (Ben Vincent) Ziegler, Kyle (Mariana) Ziegler, Jenna (Aaron) McCue, Jacob Rodriguez, Jonah (fiancee Jessica Samson) Rodriguez and Jackson Rodriguez; Seven Great-Grandchildren, Elijah Mark, Gabriel Mark, Colt Ziegler-Vincent, Wednesday Fenton, Olive Mae McCue and Piper Fenton, One great-grandchild on the way; Four Sisters, Leona Dechant, Armella Zerr, Kathleen Leckie and Donna (Gary) Goetz; and Many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by Parents, George and Mariana Ziegler; Son, Jerry Dean Ziegler and Brother, Del Ziegler.
