Raymond Bustos, Sr. was born on November 15, 1926 in Greeley, Colorado to Francisco and Tomasita Bustos. He passed away July 4, 2013 at his home in Denver, surrounded by his family.
He lived in Fort Collins, Colorado for 22 years and attended Holy Family School.
Mr. Bustos served in the United States Army in 1946 and was a Private in the Infantry Division.
He moved to Denver and married Beatrice E. Quintana on May 1, 1948.
Mr. Bustos was employed by Samsonite Luggage Co. for eighteen years and then went to work for the State of Colorado and retired after twenty-two years of service.
Mr. Bustos is survived by his wife, Beatrice Bustos; children, Frank Bustos, Monica (Brett) Wilcox and Paul (Brianne) Bustos; grandchildren, Matthew T. Bustos, Fernando Bustos, Ashley Guerra-Yalan, Christal (Mario) Gonzales, Kameron Bustos and Willem Bustos; great grandchildren, Jeremiah Maestas, Matthew Bustos, Thomas Bustos, Adrian Gonzales, Jayden Gonzales and Lennox Guerra-Yalan; sister, Isabelle Bustos; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond T. Bustos; five brothers and five sisters.
Graveside Services and Interment, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Friday, July 12, 2013 at 10:30 AM. Officiating, Rev. Tomas Fraile, C.R. Military Honors by the United States Army and the All Veterans Honor Guard.
